ENA - GERMAN EXAMS

ENA-A2 TEST DESCRIPTION

The ENA-A2 certificate declares elementary language skills at the second level (A2) of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). In the exam, the focus is not on productive areas such as writing or speaking, but on receptive skills - reading and listening.

ENA-GERMAN EXAMS

ENA CERTIFICATE A2 - TARGET GROUP

ENA German exams are general language exams and can therefore be used in a wide range of contexts. The A2 ENA German test was developed for candidates who have reached the age of 16 in the year of the test and are learning German as a foreign language as well as a second language. We maintain neutrality in the development of our tests with regard to age, culture, origin and gender. The ENA German tests are used by people who require an official certificate. The test is designed for people who want to train in Germany, apply for an au pair position in Germany, need proof of language proficiency for spousal reunification or simply want to prove their learning success at A2 level. Use our model exam ENA-A2 to prepare for the exam!

EXAMINATION OBJECTIVES - ENA GERMAN A2

WHAT YOU MUST BE ABLE TO DO

Candidates can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. personal and family information, shopping, work, local area). They can communicate in simple, routine situations involving a simple and direct exchange of information about familiar and common things. They can use simple means to describe their own background and education, their immediate environment and things related to immediate needs. The focus of language use is mainly in the private sector, but also in the semi-public, public and professional spheres.

Test takers understand enough to be able to fulfil needs of a concrete nature, provided that they speak clearly and slowly. They can also understand phrases and words relating to matters of immediate importance (e.g. very basic information about a person, family, shopping, work, local area), provided they speak clearly and slowly.

Candidates can understand short, simple texts on familiar, concrete topics using common everyday or professional language. Candidates can read and understand short, simple texts containing a wide range of vocabulary and a certain proportion of internationally recognised words.

The candidate can make short, simple notes when it comes to things that are immediately necessary. They can also write a very simple personal letter thanking or apologising for something. They can write short, simple notes and messages that relate to immediate needs.

Candidates can communicate easily in structured situations and short conversations, provided the other person helps if necessary. They can cope with simple everyday conversations without undue effort; they can ask and answer questions and exchange thoughts and information on familiar topics in predictable situations. You can communicate in simple, routine situations involving a straightforward and direct exchange of information on familiar routine matters relating to work and leisure. Test takers can hold short contact conversations. They barely understand enough to keep the conversation going themselves.
